Our local wildlife – Buoux Regional Centre for Wildlife Conservation

About This Project

LPO_Agirpourlabio_Edition_PACABuoux Regional Centre for Wildlife Conservation [Centre Régional de Sauvegarde de la Faune Sauvage] is managed by LPO PACA (PACA region Bird Protection League).
Established in 1996, the Regional Wildlife Centre is part of the Lubéron Regional National Park and is managed by LPO PACA.
It rescues and cares for distressed wild animals and birds, which are then rehabilitated for release back into the wild. Each year it receives almost 1000 wild creatures, mainly birds and small mammals, as well as dealing with thousands of phone calls!
The centre’s team (staff and volunteers) also runs projects to raise awareness of the problems facing our wildlife (talks, exhibitions…), and contributes to research programmes improving our understanding of the biology of different species.
If you find an injured wild animal or bird, please phone our call centre for advice: 04.90.74.52.44
