Maned wolf

About This Project

Fox or wolf?

Contrary to its name, the maned wolf looks more like a red fox on stilts. Its long legs are certainly an adaptation to the tall grass among which it moves: it can thus see over these!

It is an omnivorous animal, feeding on small mammals, birds, reptiles, but also fruits and other plants!

This species is unfortunately endangered, which is why European zoos have set up an EEP (European Endangered Species Programme). It is in this context that we welcome as a young couple, formed in February 2020 … Let us wish them lots of pupies!
