13 Jul Births among squirrel monkeys!
The group of squirrel monkeys is growing with the birth of 3 babies, on May 21, June 2 and 30. All are doing great! Before starting to explore their environment, the little squirrel monkeys spend 5 weeks on the back of their mother or another female in the group (who thus plays the nanny!), well attached to support all the rapid movements. The mothers will continue to nurse them until they are weaned at 5 months old.
